Born in Wenatchee, Dr. Emi Chaison is a proud native of Washington. She was raised at Stevens Pass, where her father worked for the US Forest Service and she developed a passion for downhill skiing. After moving to Silverdale, she attended Central Kitsap High School where she ran track and cross-country before spending a year studying abroad in Spain. Dr. Emi returned to the Puget Sound to attend the University of Washington, earning her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology. Her Husky Pride showed as she continued her education at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Dr. Emi completed her formal education by venturing across the country to earn her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science at Temple University, where she served as chief resident. Her original research evaluating the new scoring system of the American Board of Orthodontists was published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, the top journal in the field of orthodontics.
Professionally, Dr. Emi has a commitment to continuing education, constantly attending meetings and courses to stay up to date on the latest technology and techniques in the practice of orthodontics. She is an active member of several organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Snohomish County Dental Society.
Dr. Emi lives in Bothell with her husband (and orthodontist), Dr. Jeremy Chaison, her twin sons, Asher and Maddox, and her daughter, Berkeley. She is still an avid skier and enjoys being outdoors. She also enjoys traveling, cooking and exploring new restaurants.
